Most engineers already know the approximate M12 type they need. Our job is to confirm the exact structure and turn the requirement into a drawing and testable sample.
How We Review Common Custom M12 Cable Projects
Instead of claiming that every cable is possible, we first check the mating interface, coding, electrical function, cable and installation details. These examples show the information we verify before quoting.

Sensor Cable with Open-Wire Tail
M12 A-coded female, straight body, PUR cable and an open-wire tail for machine wiring.
Pin count, wiring definition, cable length, wire colors, conductor size and tail treatment.
Drawing and pinout review → sample assembly → customer machine test.

Shielded Industrial Ethernet Cable
M12 D-coded or X-coded cable for an industrial controller, camera or network module.
Coding, network requirement, shielding, cable category, length and the connector on the second end.
Interface matching → drawing confirmation → sample network and installation testing.

Machine or Control Cabinet Cable
M12 field connection with a custom internal cable tail or a second connector.
Front/rear connection, available space, cable route, tail length, wire colors and terminal treatment.
Equipment drawing review → dimension comparison → sample installation check.
How do you know the cable will fit?
We do not ask you to order mass production based only on a product photo. The lower-risk route is to confirm the drawing, pinout and sample first.
A Clear Route from Requirement to Sample
This is the part that prevents wasted time. We confirm the application and mating details before discussing mass production.
Send Information
Share a model, photo, drawing, PCB layout, old sample or basic requirement.
Match the Interface
Confirm coding, pins, gender, direction, mating side and application.
Confirm the Cable
Review length, PVC/PUR, gauge, shielding, colors and tail treatment.
Review Documents
Check the dimensional drawing, datasheet and pinout before sampling.
Test Samples
Verify installation, mating, wiring and equipment performance.
Approve Production
Adjust agreed details if needed, then confirm the volume order.
Designed Around Real Industrial Connections
The application determines the coding, pinout, shielding and cable material. These four examples show how M12 connector cables are used in real automation, network, robotic and harsh-environment projects.
Sensors & Machine Vision
M12 cable assemblies connect photoelectric sensors, detection devices and machine-vision equipment on automated production lines.
A-Coded · Signal & Sensor
Industrial Ethernet & I/O
Industrial switches, controllers and multi-port I/O equipment require the correct coding, pin count, shielding and cable routing for reliable field installation.
D / X-Coded · Network & I/O
Robotics & Motion
PUR and flexible M12 cable options are used for moving sensors, robot arms, AGVs and equipment where repeated movement and cable routing must be considered.
PUR · Flexible Cable Options
Harsh Industrial Environments
Properly matched and assembled IP67 or IP68 M12 connector options help protect industrial connections exposed to moisture, dust and mechanical vibration.
IP67 / IP68 OptionsManufacturing You Can Verify
Factory capability should support the cable project—not replace it. These real production and testing images show the process behind the order, from conductor and cable processing to injection molding and final electrical verification.
What We Check Before Shipment
Certification, IP rating and electrical approvals vary by product model. Please confirm the exact requirement before ordering.
Questions Buyers Usually Ask
What information should I send for an M12 cable quotation?
Send the application, coding, pin count, male/female side, straight or angled direction, cable length, PVC/PUR preference, shielding requirement, quantity and any available drawing, photo or model number.
Can you match an existing part number, drawing or sample?
Yes. We can compare the visible connector structure and available technical information. Final confirmation should use a drawing, dimensions, mating-side information and pinout rather than a front photo alone.
Can I test samples before mass production?
Yes. After the structure and specification are confirmed, samples can be prepared for installation, mating, wiring and equipment testing before a volume order.
Can the cable length, color and pinout be customized?
These are common customization items. We can review cable length, jacket material, jacket or wire colors, conductor size, shielding, pin-to-pin wiring, labels and tail treatment based on the project.
Should I choose PVC or PUR cable?
PVC is commonly used for standard fixed industrial wiring. PUR is often selected when the cable needs better resistance to abrasion, oil or movement. The correct choice depends on the environment and motion requirement.
Are all M12 cables automatically IP67 or IP68?
No. The rating depends on the exact product, mating condition, sealing structure, cable entry and test conditions. We confirm the required protection level for the selected model.
